Meet Kelly
Certified Prenatal/Postpartum Trainer, Women's Coaching Specialist, and Childbirth Educator.
Hi! I'm Kelly Lynch, founder of Restore Your Body. I grew up in a world of ballet, and modern dance classes, bending, moving, and molding my body to what it was told to do, and I loved it...at the time. I love to move, I love filling up the dance studio, I loved the hours on hours of rigorous training. Not only was I molding my body but I was shaping who I was as a person. I was disciplined, focused, and determined, who I was outside of the studio reflected who I was inside the studio and vise versa. After dancing for different companies, I realized how out of touch with my body I had become. Yes, I had molded and shaped it to be a dancing body but I had zero connection or control over it. I made a career change not totally out of the dance world but into a dance world that pushed me in new ways that at the time I didn't realize I was capable of. I had to transform my body to be something totally different. It was then, I realized how out of tune I was with my body and how it moved. That was when I decided to channel my energy into me, into restoring my body to what it is truly capable of and with me behind the wheel with full control.

I began to study movement, fitness, and the connection between the mind and body. I began my fitness journey with my Pilates Mat Certification, I love the attention to detail, and the ability to isolate different muscle groups. I wanted to learn more, how could I bring this articulation and attention to each muscle group into different exercises. I then completed my NASM CPT, combining both the skills that I learned through Pilates to the exercises and program planning from NASM I was able to transform my body, to realize what muscles were needed to overcome injury, pain, to feel strong and confident in my body. But it didn't stop there. I studied Kinesiology and Performance Enhancement, the mechanics behind the human movement, and how to achieve peak potential. I became a Functional Movement Specialist, to prevent injury, improve balance, strength, and flexibility within one's own body.

It was then I felt I could confidently train others and began to do in-home personal training throughout New York City. Training all ages, all levels, athletes, seniors, men, and women. While working for a company, the owner said to me " Kelly, I think you could really make a difference in helping Mothers through their prenatal and postpartum journey." I, at the time, responded with "that is a lot of responsibility". But being someone who loves to learn and wants to help as many people as possible, took on the challenge. I started with Oh Baby Fitness certification and already I found like I had found something that I had been missing and that I could really make a difference, and help mothers feel strong and confident in their journey. I went on to get Prenatal and Postpartum Certified through Girls Gone Strong and became a Women's Coaching Specialist to best help women and mothers. I wanted women and mothers to leave each session each conversation feeling more confident in their body and strong in their journey.
